Im now really starting to dig Devil's Creek and Unscripted Moment, I tend to enjoy the Chris-sung songs a lot more.

Status Update is still my SOTY.

Love the whole thing, there really isn't a bad/sub-par track. Things I Like is kinda meh compared to the rest, probably because the song is more tongue-in-cheek than anything, and it still rocks.

Potemkin City Limits and Today's Empires are most similar in sound. Their first two are great but much more like skate punk, and IMO they don't touch their later output in quality.

Okay I know I'm late but the absolute funniest thing in this thread was

I personally prefer to convert straight to a midi file and imagine what the words are

I was literally saying I think a MIDI version would be cool. What was being taken seriously? Or are you just slow?

Thank you tkxxx7, but the funniest comment so far was when one person said "Career Suicide" is "arguably the greatest punk album ever written."

Blasphemy. And certainly not nearly as ridiculous as saying Career Suicide is derviative of TETA. Clearly nothing like that album.

Getting back to Failed States, the more I listen to this, the more I am convinced it is not nearly as good as Supporting Caste. Tracks 2-5 are very forgettable. Tracks 9-12, however, are brilliant and easy rival some of their strongest material.

So, where does that leave us? It sort of leaves a mixed bag. That sizeable portion of tracks right at the front of the album that just don't live up to the quality of the best parts of the album.

Supporting Caste was great front to back. This really isn't. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed, even though there is great stuff to be found here, particularly on the latter half of the album.
