Because Metal-Archives is pretty much emblematic of metalhead culture. I was accused of "making false accusations" towards the genre of metal (I presume that it being based on image was one of them, and I seriously hope Graveyard realizes how lame that sounds) and so I provided my reasoning for those claims.



I like how you don't even address my point. If a bunch of scene kids put out any of Monstrosity's generic albums, do you really believe you would be calling it a "good album"? Or would you be dumping it in with stuff you don't like (presumably stuff like Emmure)?

And your argument that "metalheads base their opinions on image" not only assumes that your cross section example of metal music lovers (metal archives) is representative of metal fans EVERYWHERE (which is retarded), but it also assumes that one event (image) has caused the other (opinion) which is also presumptuous and just dumb. Lol @ assuming it's based solely on stuff on metal-archives. It isn't man. It's based on countless and countless of comments on different metal-related websites that just jump on the bandwagon of hating anything that looks different.



Just type into Youtube "fake metal" and you'll see what I'm talking about. Go to Bring Me the Horizon's fan page on Facebook and see all the angry metal nerds raging at the band.



It's based on the fact that random generic death metal bands put out an album and people who like metal give it a good or even excellent rating yet a metalcore band puts out a similarly generic album and suddenly they are the "worst band ever."
