yeah if the original is played with generic chugging and uninspired chord progressions...then the cover will also presumably have them. And the song will still suck. And it's still their fault for recording a song that sucks.

It's sad but I think you're right, Converge is past their prime and I'm predicting their next album blows major turds.

Yeah, pretty good review. I had no idea Converge and Napalm Death ever did a split, but I can't imagine it would sound half as good as outputs from either band:P

the converge side of this review started out strong but showcased your weaknesses as a writer during the overlong, generic converge bashing in the second bit. the napalm death side, not surprisingly, was far worse. it is shitty 'bullshit reviewing,' and seems like it was thrown together haphazardly. it takes cues from something KILL might have written, proving it's not original at all, and ends with some lazy, boring writing (undoubtedly aaron turner's idea).
