Swansong rules pretty hard. I don't know why people care that they stripped down their sound and still managed to make a better death n'roll album then most of the other bands in the sub-genre.

Swansong just lacks the spirit and the passion their early material does, it has some good riffs but all 4 of their first albums pulverize it.
Especially Symphonies of Sickness, I cannot express how amazing the songs on that album were live.

I agree with that. Still a fun listen though. Oh, and Heartwork for the win hahahaha.

Symphonies and Necroticism are my favorite, but Heartwork definitely rules.

Funny how I picked up Necroticism last week but I haven't had the time to listen to it yet. Symphonies is still my favourite from their grind era albums (might be Necro after I give it a listen).

I only have Heartwork but it is definitely win!

Necroticism isn't grind, it's just straight up death metal, kind of their transition album but it's really good.

Ahhh I see. That still sounds really good to me. When I go home next weekend, listening to that album will be on top of my priorities.
Bleak123, check out their older albums too. This Message Edited On 11.02.08

'I Told You So' ... What more is there to say? That song is a straight kick in the face of the modern music world.
