that's understandable you have to be in a certain mood to get the full effect

I still don't get the love for this album. It's great, sure, but I don't think it really deserves all the hype it gets...Kinda like In Absentia to me, it always just came across as a great album, nothing more, nothing less. Maybe I'm just missing something, but...

Been listening to this so much lately. What a spectacular experience and it's such a unique concept. Scissor Lock makes sleep paralysis sound wonderful...

Sound Awake will be a classic album in 5/10 years. It's better than this

yeah this is definitely an album that gets old after a while. the vocals/melodies seem kinda bland to me now. this is coming from a guy who was once a big fan and seen them live twice... dredg is probably gonna call it quits soon anyway. their last album they tried to go in a more pop/commercial direction and just completely failed.

just listened to this for the first time. seems alright, gonna need some more listens before i rate. idk if i'm a fan of this dude's voice, but maybe it'll grow on me. sound awake is an average at best album. there's nothing about it that is classic. not now, and i don't see what 10 years is gonna do

Greetings from 8 years later. Just wanted to say this review was instrumental in me investigating (after Same Ol' Road came on my weekly recommended on Sptfy). It's one of the most remarkable albums I've heard. I actually had tears as the last track played out. Not many albums have done that. Mighty thanks to the reviewer. Will leave my rating until I've digested it over a few listens.

Is anyone even here anymore? Erm.....I'll let myself out.
