The vocalist makes me want to give this a 1.5, but the semi-ok music is telling me to just leave it at 2.

The music is definitely better than that TesseracT album I just heard, but the vocals are so much worse. Which is definitely saying something.

Some of the vocals are worse. The harshes are mostly lolworthy, but the cleans on Erised and Ragnarok in particular are epic.

i agree the vocals are pretty unbearable.

I do love the calm, ethereal almost ambient-like sections though.

Maybe with another vocalist this will have an average score of 3,8. Spencer is not very good but he can improve, I hope so

the more i listen to this the more i realize it might just be the album of the decade

I get tired of Meshuggah after half a song at most. At least their djent stuff, they were ok back when
they sounded more thrashy.
