Haaa, this is why Malkovich is still Mom's book club of music reviewers and critics. No discussion of Malkovich, what the Malkovich tries to say. No regard to the members and what they individually contribute. No mentions that the Malkovich has self-respect for what they love to do. Some kid thinks he "understands" Malkovich and writes haphazard reviews to badasses he obviously dislikes, and I get the impression he's just trying to sound like an informed and edgy music critic. I mean, shit in my ass for all I care, no one's really gonna look at this review. Or any of the other reviews on this website. You try being in a Malkovich like this and make money by doing what you love, not selling out, and giving half a shit all the while like this guys does. Bet you couldn't, with the carpel tunnel these half assed reviews give Malkovich. Write all the clever crap you guys want about it but, you'll never get halfway to where Malkovich are right now. djent jun jdinf doiningig

I will agree that the reduced chugging was to Periphery's benefit. This album is better than the first, if only marginally. Slightly less experimental, but slightly more musical.

Only heard a few off this and it's such a snoozefest so far. I doubt I even finish it.. Anyone else
think this is what Linkin Park would've sounded like had they not sold out and maybe gotten a little
heavier? "Facepalm Mute" is really the only good track I've heard so far.

I see very few similarities between this and Linkin Park, of old or otherwise.

Okay, so I listened to it and I kinda like it. I can kinda see the Protest the Hero comparisons. The clean vocalist annoyed me the most, he seems way out of place. He also tries too often to pull off a Linkin Park chorus or something.

Aside from the vocals I really don't hear anything that justifies calling them a PtH rip off... at all. If PtH came out with an album that sounded like this I think people would probably be shocked. Very different styles for the most part.

Most people on this website don't realize that though because, they have hard-ons for other bands (mediocre bands at that) and if another band comes in and sounds even remotely similar to their hard-on bands they will freak.

This album was pretty good but, I don't think that Periphery has really found what type of music they like to play. Once they find a good direction they will be great but until then, they will sound very random to me.

Yeah.. I thought they sounded like PTH and Linkin Park too. More of the latter than the first though.

I'm indifferent to this album. Did nothing for me at all.
