@ReturnToRock WOA! HANG ON THERE! He does it a step down, its a live show, he cant burn out his vocal chords in the middle of the show.

@FromDaHood I'll keep dat in consideration next time. Hm. I thought I covered the music pretty well... I was trying to reduce the autobiographical nature of it...

"So why am I listing to them now? I had long since written off the band as peddlers of the same lunkhead catharsis that every nu-metal band trafficked so thickly in, but suddenly a desire to seek out this bands output resurfaced and now I’m writing a review of their debut album in order to purge myself of these demons."
"...this album isn’t quite as angst-y as I thought it was. I was surprised to find the album’s lyrical themes quite universal. Hear me out on this. I will never have another day in my life where I seriously “don’t really know why, but I wanna justify, RIPPING SOMEONES HEAD OFF”"
"But, I have had days where I’ve felt like “There’s something inside me that pulls beneath the surface” quite recently actually."
"I’m wiling to wager a huge amount of hate heaped on this album is due to its popularity"
That's probably 100 words just devoted to you and that excludes the first paragraph.

@BenThorn: Yeah, but what about the way his voice drops right after the last syllable of each verse?

As in:

Album version: "Craw lingin my skiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnn...."

Live In TX: "Craw lingin my *skin*!"

Real rockers burn out their vocal cords, dude (hello, Ian Gillan on Made In Japan!)

Plus I heard Phoenix's "live" bass is all playbacked. Lame.

why do they even do that? if they have so little confidence in his bass playing maybe they SHOULD GET A NEW BASSIST

Live in texas isn't excatly their best live show, their presentations at rock am ring, rock in rio, sonicsphere and some of their shows at projekt revolution are better, sometimes chester's vocals at live are dissapointing, but at other times are really surprising( Ex:The From The Inside and A Place for my head that appeared in singapore and in rock am ring).

I agree that Phoenix is a really ,really bad bassist, this guy has the easiest job of all time.

I'm glad the old review got trashed, was a nice ego smash. I'll delete that paragraph now.
