I saw a magazine with "The Rise of Memphis May Fire" on it. lol.
|

I get Rock Sound and their latest issue calls them "America's Latest Sensation" on the front cover.
"Shunned by the music industry and left for dead, Memphis May Fire are flying the flag for the underdog...they're on the verge of becoming one of the hottest properties in rock"

If by "Rise" they mean "descent into mediocrity" than yeah good article I'm sure

They are rising into the "mainstream", meaning that they've dumbed down their music, so now it is shitty and generic enough for people with poor taste (which is the majority) to like it.

Their worst effort and it gets more acclaim than their other works. Makes a lot of sense right?

Of course, of course. Shallow music and generic music is rather fast to get over with.
Rise Records annoys the shit out of me now.

There is legitimately one good song on this. And it still has horrible lyrics.

Classic album for me! Up there with The Color Morale's "My Devil In Your Eyes" and Underoath's "Define the Great Line"
5* Definitely

Just started compiling albums for the inevitable best of 2012 list thing and recognized that I completely forgot about this album. The Hollow was so addictive. This isn't at all. Has some good songs though. But also some bad (especially Miles Away).
Also nice dig Fluttertrank.
