the clean parts feel louder than the doomier bits due to the compression and it utterly destroys the impact of the record and turns it into a monotonous mess

Just finished listening to their debut and I was really warped into its atmosphere. Loved it. Gave it a 4 but I think it could grow on me more. It's the album I always wanted Bethlehem to write. It sounds like Bethlehem atmosphere and pace mixed with Crimson Moonlight aggression, truly a experience. Can't wait to hear this one.
Edit (a week later): Man this band is truly unique! I'm absolutely loving their music. They create a gloomy atmosphere I had only heard in Emptiness's music before. Their second one is a 4,5 in my book. The first one is still growing on me. I'm really glad I checked this band out

I'm 5ing this one. Keep coming back to it. One of the most gloomy, desolate albums ever, yet still retaining a sense of majestic elegance and sensibility. Cathartic for those depressive, darks days. A channeling experience
