Yep, Phoenix Rising is nice. The title track and Brain Dance are also good songs, but this album unfortunately was a step back.

I actually like Don't Bother Me best on this album - some crazy shuffle track.

I don't put this album on the same throne as AIH or NNL, but it rules pretty hard.

This is undeniably a thrash metal album, just slower than the first two.

I would have to disagree with you there. It is a heavy metal album with a few thrashy songs. But I wouldn't say it thrashes hard enough to be a considered a thrash album.

When I look back at it, yeah you're right. But it's pure class from start to finish.

I always saw this as a heavier 80s rock-style album, but not even as heavy as Skid Row or older White Lion.

There were certainly way more "clean" passages than I expected.

Guitar solos on this are so killer, but the songs themselves suck

80s accessible metal/melodic hard rock done right imo.
Really enjoyed this one from start to finish.

Too late to realise

It wasn't that hard to see

Just open up your eyes

I've got bats in the belfry !

Underrated album, imo.
