What annoys me is the people freaking out about words generally seem to be doing absolutely nothing else to improve society. It's like an over-compensation for their guilt of being self-absorbed, they make a lazy effort to insult people and act self righteous for having the trivial willpower to refrain from using a certain word.
In the meantime a club full of gay people gets slaughtered and the best solution these people have is "get rid of that certain type of gun he had (so he can easily go but a different one)"' and vote for Hillary the candidate getting tens of millions of dollars from countries hat execute gays.
The whole slur outrage just seems like people fronting, it's counterproductive. Most leftists care more about appearing to be righteous than actually being righteous and improving the world.

I don't think people should be needlessly offended but it's pretty easy to say something else besides faggot, which, despite context, definitely has a certain past connotation that's hard to shake. Personally, I just avoid it because I don't see a need for it. Plenty of other words out there.

the whole thing is a politicized mess. Every time someone says faggot a democratic politician has a orgasm, they love playing politics with identities. Obama and hillary were anti gay marriage about 3-4 years ago, their shameless flip flop when the movement became politically popular should tell all people they need to know.
Instead... Gays are routinely murdered by radical Muslims worldwide, republicans favor killing these Muslims but remarkably lgbt still sides with the democrats and actually had the nerve to blame republicans "hate" for the Orlando attack. (You know, not real hate, but taking Donald trumps speeches out of context.
Absolutely bizarre watching "pro-gays" ignore violent hate and invent/exxagerate hate based on the use of slurs or microagressions. It's all a political game that benefits the democratic party. People think they can stay out of politics, they can't, everything is political.
