First, look at the title - Ten Stories. The ambiguity within is very important. It is never specified which stories are told, but there are ten of them. This is obviously indicative of life and its transience, its hectic essence. mewithoutYou makes deep music about life and stories about elephants and that's why we fans are so privileged to listen to them.



Second, the cover art. It is the most important cover art I've ever seen. This mewithoutmew band has identified themselves with the big bois of the animal kingdom. Is this love for nature? Is this zoophilia? Frankly, I have no idea. But who are we to question the gods of alternative rox? Perhaps they are making a very important statement how we earthlings should integrate with nature!



Third, the music. The music is not very good.
