Try some Scars on Broadway, Daron's solo project. He put some interesting influences into the music even if his lyrics and vocals never quite reach SOAD Serj levels.

I remember the day this was coming out being at school being so excited all day to go buy the CD. Man, I was super disappointed when I listened to it. It's not horrible, just nowhere near as good as their previous stuff.

Yeah. There are good songs on here but unfortunately this album is just a massive mess. I also have no idea why Radio/Video is getting so popular recently. That's easily one of their worst songs. There's like, two lines worth of lyrics in that song yet it's over four minutes long. Way too repetitive and the vocals are whiny and annoying.
Still better than Hypnotize though.

every now and then ill revisit this just to make sure i didnt let my emotions get in the way of appreciating this record but i hate it every time.
probably the biggest musical disappointment ive ever had. circa 2005 this was my favorite band, had this pre ordered and everything. picked it up on release day and hated it from the very first listen. never even bothered listening to hypnotize.
