It's brief in many parts but I can't help but noticing them which I felt really gave this demo a unique feel

Can you think of any specific examples or times when they occur? I'd like to go back and listen and see if maybe I just overlooked it.

Glad you like it bro

@ Crysis -

Ok here are the exact marks.

The opening riff at 3:20 to 4:15, then again at 4:30. The hook at 6:08 before the solo. 7:45 reminds me of the slower parts of Edenspring.
13:45, and 17:29. all these are imo reminiscent of certain riffs native to DT. awaiting your thoughts sir.

I guess I just don't hear it. They don't sound like melodic death and certainly not like gothenburg melodic death. Thanks for pointing them out though.

No problem. Well melodic death is a very widespread statement. but yeah DT was the first thing that came to mind when I heard those riffs. But yeah there's plenty of dt that is not in this album. When I think of DT I think of all of there stuff, their pretty versatile in their early sounds so only various specific aspects spark the memory in my mind.

Good review. Older demos by these guys are way better.

from the couple of listens i had it doesn't seem to surpass mountains of hate or legacy of blood, but it's still torture chain (i.e. excellent). glad i picked up a copy though, this will sell out fast.
