Anyone saw/seeing the current Headbangers Ball tour? It's Suicidal Angels + Death Angel + Sodom + Exodus, I'm catching it the coming Friday.

I'm glad I can finally see Death Angel, I keep missing my chances. Not the best moment in history to do that but it's something! At least I'm almost sure they'll open with Evil Priest.

Got Evil Priest, Mistress of Pain, Kill as One and the beginning of The Ultra-Violence. Basically front row, intense show, mosh and stuff, people flying over my head like aeroplanes. m/
Found Mark, took a photo and then he was swarmed by people so I just told him "love your voice" and walked away. Then someone touched my shoulder and it was him! Such a chill dude, we chatted for a minute and I think he actually said that the vocals for the next album are complete.
Also beware he has a very strong handshake haha

Good shit Sab. How did they sound?

Tight! They all looked to be having a real blast, especially the bassist who kept smiling and sending hearts. Really short set though, I wish they played more and maybe some stuff from Frolic/III too or anything else really... they have(?) to fill the show with Ultra-Violence stuff so the time for other albums is very low. This was the setlist:
1. Evil Priest
2. Left for Dead
3. Claws in So Deep
4. Mistress of Pain
5. The Ultra-Violence / Thrown to the Wolves
6. Kill as One
7. The Moth

I realized I had it at 4.5 today, what the hell, unforgivable.

My dream would be them goings back to this style and maybe mix it with some of the aggressiveness of their recent records. Act 3 is my all time favourite album.

God there's so much potential in this album! Imagine if they did another album in this style, with more sharply honed, consistent songwriting. With major-label backing and promotion, and a good MTV single that epitomized their budding funk-thrash style, they would've been HUGE!

They should've put this on the album instead of Ex-TC.

The album was made with major label backing and promotion (Geffen), it was even criticised for being too mainstream and "yet another major label metal album". Also I heard a lot about them getting tons of airplay on MTV at the time.
If not for the bus accident and the split up it resulted in, I'm pretty sure they'd be at least as popular as Overkill is today.

What is it with buses and fucking with the career paths of thrash metal bands?

Got a lot of info from their documentary DVD, not sure how much insight you can get from Google. The drummer was badly injured and they split up making their "The Organization" project without mark.

God this is the best thing they have ever done. Jamming it now after Humanicide and the difference is abysmal.
