well no chord changes would not be "musical notes", they would chords, or combinations of musical notes
|
| |
But chords are called that too.
This is a music site you should know your music.
|
| |
chords are not called notes

|

Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather
|

he started it with his stupid "hehe check me out im pedantic" shtick which wasn't even warranted given that i clearly used "whaaat" as a descriptor
"those chords are cool!"
"Lol I didnt think 'cool' was the name of the chord arent chords like a minor and stuff"
lame-o

Isn't all metal fun?
Or do you just mean upbeat, major-keyed metal?
|
| |
well i mean
no not all metal is fun
cmon cant you see how this album and others like it are "fun" in critically different ways than most metal

There's always the more stoner rocky Boris albums like Heavy Rocks and Pink.

Yup, this is awesome. Definitely checking out their past works.

I agree with robertsona this has more of a "fun" feel thanks in part to its poppier aesthetic

Do you mean 'stoner rock' by 'fun metal'? There are a lot of fun stoner rock albums out there. I'll repeat myself but check out the debut album of Floor if you like this.
Digging: Coliseum - Sister Faith |

It kind of reminds me of Baroness mixed with the new Mastodon album. So it's a murkier metal record with some nice pop sensibilities. Very cool.
|
| |
Apparently this was mixed by Kurt Ballou. Seriously where does the guy find the time?

I agree. I wasn't so high on their previous stuff excluding In Return EP.
|

I like it all, but I definitely thought In Return and Meanderthal stood above the others.
