Not sure what to think of this album, on one hand it's well constructed and interesting hardcore. But I can't help but feel the vocals are like a drunken miserable friend relentlessly crying their problems into your ear.

Eh, I think Defeater is either on par or edges out Pianos, but better than the rest hell yeah.

While I love this album, yeah Old Pridecwins for those haunting guitar lines

Easily one of the most passionate albums of 2011. Everyone either has or will lose someone incredibly close to them and this album was not only a healing album for Kyle but contains overwhelmingly relatable content to various people. The raw, engulfing passion that seeps from the album has the ability to move you to tears.

Also, Treb, I wouldn't consider Pianos "hardcore" whatsoever maybe Post-Hardcore but more screamo.

Also Storm, before you start talking about slitting your wrist, etc... you should look into the subject matter of this album.

Dude, if it's post hardcore or screamo...theyre both offshoots of hardcore. So it's still hardcore.

both are post-hardcore, since both are literally what happened after hardcore.

When I see the word hardcore; I think Cruel Hand, In My Eyes, Product of Waste not anything like Pianos. There's a reason the term post-hardcore was created and is utilized.

Eh, see Pianos is more hardcore than Post-Hardcore to me. I don't think just because it's using new ideas makes it post. That's just kinda stupid to me.

they play emotive hardcore, which is one style of post-hardcore punk music. this is not complicated.
