Genesis should be alright though since they will always be credited as one of the pioneers of prog. At the same time though I dont know anyone my age who listens to their 70s stuff.

Yeah, it's the same old story: yesterday on the underground, today on the first page, tomorrow (luckily) on your encyclopedia. That's what art history is all about.

Your probably my favorite reviewer on this site

Thanks man ;)

Never.

fucking epic review man god albums so close to a 5 for me

KILL you gotta 5 this hard

bro i get pissed that its literally always the same people who comment on amazing prog classics like this where are all the other faggots why dont they understand what they are missing why do they listen to defeater instead why is andcas so gay

i mean they must look at this thread and think ha silly music theres no emotion tehehe well i got news cunts this has more passion then anything you ever heard this makes jane doe look like hysteria, this is REAL music and fuck you all even though none of you read this but oh well

agreed

Not gonna lie if my dad wasnt the biggest Genesis fan on the planet I wouldnt know much about this band other than their 80s shit. I would have probably checked them out at some point but Im guessing most people didnt grow up with their dads listening to this stuff.

My parents played Invisible Touch and Collins' solo stuff when I was a kid. They mentioned how Gabriel was a much better vocalist but when I showed up with the prog they didn't get it.

wow what a review nag. your most detailed yet. convinced me to try the album again after an insanely long time

Ha, mission accomplished.

Waking up to find 4 pages, thanks to all of you. Didn't plan to go through the entire story but it would have been impossible to do this justice otherwise.

"The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is one of the highest landmarks in the history of double concepts"

That's a fact.

Indeed...

My absolute favourite Genesis with Gabriel.

I hope your top level review helps to increase the votes. This masterpiece deserves it.

Wow Nag, what a home run! If the band came and read your review, I'm pretty sure they'd reunite

again!! Now that I did read it, my French ear will never listen to the album the same again. You

brought out the true colors of it all. Let's share a kinky anecdote about The Lamia; song exhibits

Peter's longtime phantasm to get surrounded and caressed from head to toe by countless beautiful

ladies pair of hands at the same time. That's arguably why he used to have a predilection in jumping

into the crowd during his early solo shows, isn't it, Peter. A big pos for an ambitious and kickass

review for an ambitious and kickass concept album.

Not gonna lie if my dad wasnt the biggest Genesis fan on the planet I wouldnt know much about

this band other than their 80s shit.

No, your dad is not.

If only Collins hadn't retired, a reunion has long been expected by Genesis fans. Many thanks mate, upon re-reading it myself I'm also really happy with how it turned out. My multiple listening sessions required to properly dig into the album made me realize that it is truly their most amazing work.

Thanks Conor, nice to see you around, and to see you've added those Genesis ratings!

Glad to see you liking that album as much as myself, and it says a lot! =]. Also I have to do a

correction; your review is not only a homerun; it's actually a grand chelem! A distant memory just

came to mind; Maybe you were not aware that Genesis was supposed to do a movie about the whole

story of Rael back in the day, but for some reasons (time, energy, money and things), they've

abandoned the project. Bummer.
