Uh, buddy. No wonder you don't like the lyrics. You don't even know the lyrics.
"The Sun doesn't give light to the moon assuming/the moon's gonna owe it one"
Make sense now?

Did I mention that I consider one thing pretty ironic? That thing is that this album spawned 5 singles, and all the singles are the worst songs on this album. Or otherwise, the non-single songs are better. Like Don't Stay, Figure 0.9 or Lying From You

Lp lyrics are clever and well constructed ,the problem is that they sing in the 2 first albums about cliche topics .
The only 2 bad songs here are Somewhere I Belong and hit the floor , the rest is pretty enjoyable

Oh yeah AsoTamaki. Dumb me. OF COURSE it's that way. But I was quoting from memory, otherwise I would have quoted the whole dumb, hamfisted, atrocious attempt at a "metaphor" that is that entire verse.

Decided to raise this from a 2 to a 3.5 because I was being overly critical and there's a lot of nostalgia in listening to this album. Plus, I do think it's still enjoyable today. I mean, I don't go out of my way to hear it, but I don't mind listening to it from time to time.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. And Shuyin, I reviewed a We As Human EP (which I'm gonna repost this morning) which I had to put on here. Burning Borders never had a review either. So that's about 2 out of 7. Jars of Clay only had 1 other review as well. And I will eventually. I've put around 10 albums on this site and will review them eventually.

This brings me back to the old days

Good album. Better than hybrid theory

Yea, Hybrid was great too, but hybrid has some real clunker songs. "Crawling", "With You", "By Myself", and "My December" are worse than any song on Meteora.
|
| |
oh thats cool that you brought out new stuff
anyway 'with you' and 'by myself' are actually my favourites from these guys
|
| |
crawling sucks tho, never knew what was the big deal about that song, everyone seemed to like it

Me either. Don't understand the popularity behind it. I was surprised I knew 10 or so albums that weren't on here. Granted, all of them are either rock or country (just two alabama records I listened to as a kid). I was surprised Demise of Eros (metalcore band) wasn't here especially.

From the inside is the best song on here...

Yeah, "With You" is one of my favorite LP songs. "My December" was pretty bad, so it's good that was just a bonus track (even though it completely rids the word "bonus" of it's true definition). The remix on Reanimation was pretty good though.

It was an okay pop song, not an okay LP song though. "High Voltage" was a much better bonus track.

High Voltage is pretty good

Shows off Mike's rapping ability which made Linkin Park (in my opinion). "Step Up", "High Voltage", "A Place for My Head", "Carousel", "Papercut", "Nobody's Listening", and "Bleed it Out" are all made by his rapping. LP's newer stuff completely underuses him.

they underuse alot of elements that made both first albums a success. the super catchy guitars followed by the techno sounds (whatever its called) and chester adding some energy to the music. recent albums are both lazy and unoriginal, but i wont judge it much since this isnt my music anymore.

Right, but I miss Mike more than anything else. I'd be happier if they LP became like Fort Minor and just does rap over their washed out current sound.
