Usually, what I hate about remasters is that they attempt to make the sound larger and louder than the originals and the end result is a sound that's so overblown, it sounds like crap.

seriously, it's the best remastering i've heard relative to the originals. you'd be surprised

Ya. I feel the same way about joy division. It sucks cause it makes meenjoy otherwise brilliant music less (this is the only smiths album that bugs me though)
