Whoever wrote that review doesn't understand the fact that Drudkh has repeatedly stated that it is a
non-political band.
Also:
"Drudkh have alternately been tagged for their Burzum worship"

the music may be non-political but it's still fairly ideologically charged, and roman at least is pretty clearly some sort of white supremacist. whoever wrote that was definitely mistaken in referring to politics so often but I'd say it's still a relevant observation for those who have trouble with black metal ideologies in general.
I personally think its kind of dumb but I understand why it makes some people uneasy.

That picture explains why the review is as stupid as it is. His fav. band is likely btbam and he loved
seeing deafheaven and liturgy live a few months ago.

liturgy break all the dirty metalhead boundaries of black metal and blossom into a flowering swan of atonality and v neck shirts

Ugh, that Pitchfork review...
|
| |
yeah ugh

Despite the generic image of heavy-metal fans as long-haired philistines in denim vests who'd rather be throwing horns than thinking about their world, the metal community regularly wrestles with thorny politics.
OH REALLY

I still don't get why this album is named after a song on their first album
