Easily. The mix is actually quite phenomenal too. You also don't typically hear bass implemented *as it should be* as well as this if it's not Rush or Tool either.

Decided to check this out when I read Iai's deleted review here which remains on RYM where he criticizes this as nu metal and the singer sounds like Disturbed's singer. Sounds nothing like that, but I'm still not disappointed

I think you're right ya know, I've been digging deeper into their discog and nothing stands up to the first 3 tracks on this really.
Even Second Life Syndrome... no idea why it's so acclaimed, it relies way too heavily on guitar solo after guitar solo, with a really annoying synthetic guitar tone. Whereas this has so much variation, from the bass, to the keys, to that banjo thing in Egoist Hedonist (their best song?)
Have to say, Riverside have always struggled big time lyrically though.. "It's just another day of my life"

Yeah this is their best. Wonderful record. Apparently I love all of their stuff about 1.5 more than you though haha!
