It seems to me that this CD is what every "T-Minus Rock" and "Steven's Untitled Rock Show" (more the latter) band is trying to sounds like. Im not kidding, when I heard The Early November today on tv for the first time it got into the chorus and it sounded just like the songs off this album.
In my opinion, this is quite a downfall from Take This To Your Grave, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Well according to the facts they are making more money than Tibet, so they're doing something right. There are plenty of sound-alike bands, though.

Are you in any way implying that FOB has more technical ability on their instruments than Audiosalve.
Because if you are I will refer to the proper authorities.
|
| |
I am implying they have more overall talent as a band, not solely in the category of technical ability.

La Revo, it is sad but true that they probably are making more money than Tibet.. Now that I think of it, really sad..
*ponders*
Anyways, I am a believer that it is not about the money. Now, Capitol records has never came up to me and offered me to play just like everybody else, so I can't say I know I wouldn't make there same decision. I just think musically it has went downward, and they gained a lot of 11 year old girl fans.

Overall talent? CCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE ON!
Unless talent means something different to you?

Nutty Bar what band do you play in?

I know it doesn't mean fiddly effect filled guitar solos and basic bass and drum playing combined with mediocre songwriting. Something more along the lines of memorable tunes mixed with tasteful instrumentation, ala Fallout Boy. You'll see the light eventually. This Message Edited On 07.13.06

I don't play in one. Sometimes I jam with friends, and a couple of my friends want to try out a 2 drummers and a bassist funk group, but who knows what will happen with that.
Why you ask?

I don't know I heard Columbia records and assumed. My bad

Oh, I was just making a statement about how a lot of people get ticked at bands for "selling out." And I do to sometimes, but I have never been asked to change my music for a whole lot of money so I can't personally say I wouldn't do the same thing in their situation.

I will take that any day over Audio Defacation (Naming Names FALL OUT BOY [I've learned my lesson]). Audiosalve is just riff rock, nothing more nothing less.

Oh, so that's why you gave their self-titled a five.

Don't mean to butt in, and I think I should probably be posting this under the Audioslave cd, but their self-titled was a lot better than their newer cd.

I was 12 and it changed the way I perceived the guitar. That might have clouded my judgement, but since then I have come down a little.

Don't worry (nobody cares) just FOB. I agree, it was good at first, but they have yet to woo me since then.
