He will be remembered more for the fact that his full name literally rhymes with "bend over"

lol You know he "took it" from Dave too. If not physically at least emotionally being his little puppy dog for master Dave I'm sure

Haha exactly, it fits perfectly

Jammed part of this one today and indeed it kills. I don't prefer it compared to Holy Land due to the latter's exotic flavor but still, for a post-90s power metal album, it's damn impressive.

Need to jam it a couple of times but it definitely feels like it's around a 4. Guitarwork especially is pretty awesome.

Shit that's high enough haha

I had this 5'd a number of years ago actually. But yeah at least a 4 is acceptable

Enjoyed this one so much that I had to jam Holy Land after it just to see which one I prefer better. Still like Holy Land a bit more but this is awesome, will definitely keep it in my rotation.

It's always been a back and forth between this, Holy Land and Angel's Cry for me. Back when I got into this band, Angel's Cry was usually the winner, but I think these days I prefer this one. It just stuck more. Took a time to grow on me though, mostly due to the rhythmical complexity of some of the songs, I think

You spelled the drummer's name wrong, it's Aquiles Priester. I loved the guest performances, especially Hansi in Wings of Destination, and Sabine Edelsbacher in Spread Your Fire and No Pain for the Dead.

Slowly this surpassed Holy Land for me. Amazing album.

hell yea. the themes kind of annoy me but the guitar work here is 12/10

For sure. Guitar playing on here is among the best in power metal.

I might think Rebirth is better but this still kicks ass regardless.

Been meaning to jam this band for a while.
|

They got some really good stuff. their first five albums are all great
|

Ugh that entire solo section in Shadow Hunter is the best thing ever
|

The flamenco solo is pretty classy

Same with Manosg here (γεια σου πατρίδα!). I love Holy Land and Andre Matos's vocals in early Angra and I've always been skeptical for the mid-period releases. But, damn, this album rules hard. Especially the musicianship. Priester and Loureiro are like having a deep instrumental conversation. For me, this is the definition of good and strong power metal sound.
