Very good album. As on many concepts albums there are too many fillers in there (to put the story in the concept together). But there are also many great classic rock songs in there. The first 7 tracks are a very, very strong opening to any album.

this album is incredibly overrated if you ask me. The Who are legends (Quadrophenia destroys this) but this album kind of sucks. The movie is absolutely awful.

Well I remember listening to this and Quadrophenia when I was a kid. To be honest I don't remember much. Need to recheck to have a solid opinion.

Quadrophenia is so much worse than all their early albums I really have no idea why it gets so much praise from music nerds.
And ya who's next is obviously the best but this has better drumming

that part where the vocals go:
"Do you think he's alright?"
"Yes I think he's alright!"
over and over lowers this from like a 3 to a 2. I fucking HATE that song haha.

Sure, the Who was an influence, but it's unfair to call The Wall a "mimick" despite the fact that a film was made based upon the album...
I find these rock operas can often be autobiographical (yet mostly metaphorical) like The Wall (undeniably mostly Waters) and in Genesis' the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (hence Rael is apparently a play on Gabriel's own name). I wonder how much of Quadrophenia or Tommy are autobiographical on Pete...time to research!
