"it rocks pretty hard, extremely fun to play on guitar too."
never even thought of trying to learn this stuff on guitar... what a great idea, calc.

This, silversun, deja entendu anything that politely rocks and the nostalgia too

and the used 's first album

It's been years since I last jammed this. I bet this still rocks...

Oh it does. It's great. It'll be in my car for a good week now.
DON'T BELIEVE THAT THE WEATHER IS PERFECT THE DAY THAT YOU DIE.

That choir at the end fucking gets me. That and the sound of thunder in that one song and his lyrics about driving on the highway or something. Great imagery

Totally. Album art helps too. The greeny tinge to everything. Very cool.
The little booklet on "A guide to the afterlife" that comes with this is hilarious. Such a neat little addition. A lot of the lyrical concepts refer to it, actually.

I used to jam this hard. Big fan of this and their first album at one point. I played a few songs from it the other day though, and some of it kind of made me cringe- mostly some of the lyrics and his voice at times. To be fair, I don't really listen to anything in this realm of sound anymore, so I'm sure my taste has just changed a bit.
I do dig the artwork though and the handbook was really cool.

No it's corny sometimes, like a relationship is really THAT important is very high school, but that's part of that nostalgia

this album woulda sucked if they made it less melodramatic. the whole dying thing would have been really embarrassing. they did it right
|
| |
Hell yeah. The guy might not be a great vocalist but he sounds sincere enough that the overthetop story delivery works
