I need Jesus to give me the flac album, then I will believe.

New Arviterne is crazy good man btw. Best production I've heard on a death metal album

I've just listened to this 3 times in a row after reading about them on the back of checking out the new Aeviterne release. Holy fuck I have been missing out on some serious dissonance. Amazing.

I checked. The drumming does indeed go substantially hard. I like the way it sounds generally.

needs more time otherwise

New Aeviterne is nuts man. I've spun it three times already and it's an AOTY contender for sure. Maybe a bit front loaded but it rules pretty hard

Hmm, yeah I’m not sure the way Aevertine closes really gives me the satisfying payoff I was hoping for, but it definitely does an awful lot right throughout its runtime. I’m impressed.

edit: yep, it rules!

The Ailing Facade feels like the whole novel whereas this was just the prologue. Both are good, but god damn if The Ailing Facade doesn't expand on some of these ideas in glorious ways.

The only moment on The Ailing Facade I'm not completely sold on is the second half of the Reeking Suns. It's not bad by any means I just think it might overstay its welcome a bit. Everything else is 100% KILLER though.
