Djent is the stupidest genre name i've ever heard, there are so many styles of metal that "djent".

This is progressive metal.

"on another note this album reminds me a bit of Amia Venera Landscape debut."

this sounds nothing like Amia. I mean this album does utilize atmospheric/ ambient sections like Amia

does, but the metal sections on this are more straight forward chugging than Amia's chaotic/dissonant

hardcore sections.

Still do not see what the fuss is about this. Solid atmosphere here and there but a use of layering that really doesn't match their peers as everything convolutes into a mush of ambidjent after a couple spins. But sweet lord do those cleans grate my ears.. Still solid improvement over the EP so will get back to these guys on a next try.

It reminds me of Tesseract with less of an emphasis on being tech and more of a focus on atmosphere.

This rules.

Edit. It helps if I listen to more than one track first. Streaming now.

Plentitude has one of the greatest riffs I've heard in a long time. This album slays.

Good review, but I'd argue what with Gojira and Hacride the French are pretty sorted for amazing experimetal music. This and Daft Punk are just the icing on the cake

I have to agree with loveisamixtape. This album does nothing to add to the genre of djent music, which is already completely saturated. The guitar tones are complete rip-offs of what Tesseract has already released earlier this year.

I found the chord structures to be pretty boring as well. They seem to be trying to create a pop style of djent, with simple melodies sung over pop chord progressions. There is nothing challenging in this music. Nothing that really makes it unique. After some of the hype I read leading up to the release, I was sadly let down by a very average band, copying many other average bands that are already out there.
