When you've listened to as much metal as me, you would think 2011 sucks hard as well. I've been so let down by some of my favourite bands.

I don't listen to as much metal as you, but I like to think that I listen to a pretty respectable amount, and for me, it's been a relatively good year: not just for bands I already know that may have had disappointing releases, but for new bands that came out with something cool this year.

Let's put it this way: I'm still waiting on something to blow my mind and so far same old, same old.

Junius are fucking incredible. The two songs on this are amazing.
However, as much as i hate to say it, the Rosetta tracks were a let down. TMA 3 was pretty decent, but the Soundgarden cover was awful, unfortunately.

The cure cover in the previous split was great

Was better than great. Up there with some of Rosetta's best songs.

TMA-3 is excellent, more like the Rosetta I prefer. The Soundgarden cover is ok but I wouldn't know it was Rosetta if I had heard it randomly.
I like the first Junius song. The vocals actually remind me of Tears For Fears or Duran Duran.
