I still don't get how people can find Colors to be boring. It is just beyond me. This album though is certainly classic. Really started to show their proggy side here. This is the album that showed me what progressive metal had the ability to be. Though "Croakies" ended up growing on me after a couple of years. I love the tempo shifts.

@Julian I'm glad you like Thrice, but they aren't even close to being a more cohesive band than BTBAM. To have Apollo sit there and say BTBAM basically sucks then sit there digging Thrice is ludicrous.

What's ludicrous about it? Honestly it's really, really easy to understand why someone would find Thrice to be more cohesive than BTBAM. I used to be one of the hugest BTBAM fanboys ever and I still think they're great, but I've always understood why some people just can't stand them. To some ears, BTBAM's sound is just a rampant case of severe ADD. I think they successfully pull off all the genre swaps and tempo/time changes about 90% of the time but some people just don't listen to music that way. Some people prefer a band like Thrice who make 3-5 minute songs that almost always have a distinct verse, chorus and bridge/outro.
