"At times, on this album it sounds like they tried to hard to write a Prog Rock record and sounds forced." That's basically the issue with it. It doesn't seem genuine.

Not really. Regardless, there's another nine or so albums to fawn over, and I'd suspect we're all in
agreement on those.

Not gonna get into an argument about an 'ungenuine prog rock record' bullshit, cos this is solidly written.

I did very much enjoy Marrow of the Earth, too, actually. Gonna bump.

Also Haxprocess is probably the worst on here.
wtf, Haxprocess is the best on the album and it's not even that close.

Agreed with Jamie, Hax is the best song.

This didn't do much for me when it was released but I've actually been digging it pretty hard for the past couple weeks.
Famine is a structural mess but it's probably one of my favorites here regardless. That giant stoner riff is just so good.

Famine is probably my least favourite but it's still pretty good.

It's definitely the most blatant example of the awkward transitions. I just enjoy the individual sections enough to overcome it

Famine is great.

Does this prog harder than Sound Awake?

Yeah, seeing as though Sound Awake doesn't prog at all.

pretty much

Proggers prog differently down under. You just gotta be upside down to appreciate it.

Also, as much as I like and respect Ã…kerfeldt (SEE! I even take the time to spell his name right!), he kinda comes off like a douche in this interview about Heritage.
