Because we are old, crowd surfed with the best of 'em and refused to be shoehorned into shite. We kept our integrity where as you sput tweens take down your trousers and get pummelled by bullshit.

Lol swear me and you are the same age Zak. I'm born in 91.

(Pointing out that I dig this, but it's not amazing)

Raging against Sputnik hype is a crucial part of establishing yourself as a steadfast and uncompromising user. In my youth I railed against the worship of shit bands like BTBAM, Off Minor and Circle Takes the Square. Look within yourself, remember the exuberant, youthful fury that you once carried. They are now what we were once.

Satellite do you pay homage to dad rock though, that's the marker of a veteran.

I was in high school in '91 man.

If doof hadn't joined sput I probabaly would've tired of it by now cos TG, butters and what have you upped and left but he's reinvigorated the spark.

The oldies around here are cool as well.

Haha fair enough dude. But if you think this is 'fucking shit' why do you have it at a 2.5?

The 'fucking shit' was in reference to that fucking casette tape nonsense. Absolute twaddle.

If truth be told I like Millstone, and Degausser.

Albums that are rated particularly highly can't be given low scores to prevent troll ratings. The only way to rate certain albums below a 2 is to write a review for them.

the site won't let you rank this anything lower than a 2 so it maintains the appearance of being because it's an objectively perfect album

Damn, thanks for filling me in guys, didn't even know about that. So basically anything with a 4.5 avg or above can't be rated really low?

At around 4.2-4.3 is when the 'wall' begins.

It also has to be an album with a significant number of votes.

yep. i mean it's not like ratings really matter but it's a pretty stupid policy. there used to be an algorithm in place wherein you could only have a certain ratio of 1's and 5's among your individual ratings. that was much better imo.

Serve the Servants really is the perfect antidote to Degausser.

I don't ever remember it being that way but I probably didn't have enough ratings to notice.

To be fair, I have very few low ratings because I generally tend to listen to new stuff that I know i'll probably enjoy going in. Like I could go rate a bunch of Britney Spears albums 1.5 or 2 but I don't really see the point.
