I got like a 45 on that thing even though my parents make over 100k a year.

But I counted atheism as like -10, because people HATE atheists.

Strange. In Denmark, it's more common to be an atheist or agnostic, than to be an actual christian. I mean, everyone here is baptised and so, but few people really believe

I'm assuming Cygnatti is American, where Christianity is the vast, vast majority.

But yeah, to imply atheists are actively discriminated against there is pretty retarded.

What if you're a white Christian living in say, Egypt or Iraq?

@Fish: We all know it's a pretty arbitrary and generalizing metric of extremely complex issues, you
can poke holes galore in it.

That said, I got 180, god damn.

Polls showed that about 58 % of people would be willing to elect an elligible President that was a

Muslim. 53 % would be willing if the President was a gay. 45 % would be willing if the President was

an Atheist.

This is also true in other areas as well. For example, some of my friends don't let certain (usually

older) people know that they're Atheist.

Yeah, sorry. As I said above, the graph definitely lends itself to some simplistic, sweeping
generalizations on social issues and I kinda imitated it with that statement, which is dumb when it's
such an individually variable subject. I'm English and people here give way less of a fuck, so that's
probably biased my perspective.

Well, I mean, of course it would worse or better depending on where you live. I live in the suburbs, but I'm still in the upper South with a lot of military people in here.

Atheism has long been connected to Communism/Socialism and a lack of patriotism. In the eyes of American Christians, at least Muslims and Hindus believe in some higher being, which results in them having something of a moral code (which is presumably similar to Christians').

That's because we're the younger generation. Conservative or not, we are far more tolerant/accepting of gays, muslims, atheists, etc. We represent a majority of the internet, especially one in Sputnik. But we don't represent a majority in reality (in the U.S., at least). And we don't own businesses so there's that.

Virginia (as does most American states) follows the American "at-will-employment" creed, where an employer can fire you for any reason he wants and they don't need to tell you why.

I'm talking about in real life. Some people even claim that Christians are the most discriminated

against religion in this country, which is silly but it does tell a lot about how people feel these

days. And in France atheism makes up something like 35% of the population now and Christianity is 45%.

Even the president isn't religious.
