There's nothing here that really grabs my attention. I've always had trouble getting into this band. I will still see them on their tour for this though as I enjoyed them much more live than I have on record (Plus Revocation will be supporting).

I found this just as bland as all their post self titled stuff. I just cant get into their newer stuff.

Yay!

I liked The Infection, but this is the Chimaira I know and love. Despite half the band leaving this sounds a lot more "classic" Chimaira than The Infection.

This album seems to have a vibe of "The Impossibility of the Ressurection of Chimaira"

Me likey ^.^

^I also liked The Infection (the first few listens) but after taking some time off and listening to it again, its very hard to get through...seems boring compared to Resurrection.

Listened to this a few times, and its very solid, much better than The Infection, but there's just one thing that pisses me off; it seems that just as we're about to get treated to a fantastic guitar solo, the guys hold back almost as if they are trying to avoid soloing (obvious exceptions are the end part of Time is Running Out and the entirety of Samsara).

I know they have it in them to solo really well, but they almost don't seem to want to pull the trigger most of the time (something that really upset me on Your Days are Numbered...they had the opportunity, and just didn't take advantage, which would have upped the quality of that song so much more)

Great review. I disagree with you about the cleans not being a strong point of the album, and I also part ways with you when it comes to the quality of Losing My Mind, but you clearly know your Chimaira and are a fine writer. I would elaborate more but i hate typing on my phone. Pos for sure.

How good is this compared to The Infection and Resurrection? The latter being the good one
