they put up a crazy good live show but hardcore is the only studio thing i've ever really got into by them

I've always preferred these guys to some of their peers, not sure why (and that isn't saying a lot, honestly).

because they're the best!

honestly though there were some britpop crackers for example; mansun, supergrass and super furry animals all had britpop-tinged albums worth a good listen.

Supergrass are up there with these guys actually, decent enough band. Not a SFA fan & never heard a full album by Mansun.
