"The White Stripes created a modern classic."

Yeah not really.

Also what Ars said is accurate.

I've never really understood the hype for this band or Jack White in general. Good stuff generally but rarely if ever exceptional.

Hm I've never actually heard White Blood Cells or De Stijl, what you guys are saying is making me think I should.

Solid album but I've never really been inspired to check out the rest of their discog.

White Blood Cells is the kind of album where you can't judge The White Stripes efficiently unless you've heard it.

@Daniel Thanks buddy

Actually the three of them (De Stijl, White Blod Cells and this) are solid 4s for me, their catalogue is very nice, though nothing really spectacular for my taste

@Ars I do know some of Jack White's non-White Stripes stuff (Dead Weather, solo albums) though so my claim was considering those as well.

I've heard his work on The Raconteurs, and I can strongly recommend Broken Boy Soldiers, which has pretty interesting songs.

Jack White's solo albums both suck honestly, especially Lazaretto, have it 2'd

I think they're pretty good, lazaretto is a bit inconsistent but high ball stepper is so good, and blunderbuss in particular is great.

Honestly I've been lazy to check his solo work and based on this comments I think it's not worth the time.

"Freedom at 21" and "Missing Pieces" are great and ""I'm Shakin'" is a good cover, but the rest of Blunderbuss is meh

Yeah freedom at 21 is great, i always dug sixteen saltines and hypocritical kiss in particular too from that album.

My rating is probably inflated because I still have such a soft spot for this album but it's still an awesome listen for me when I occasionally give it a go. The other albums in this band's discog is really hit or miss for me tho

Serious question tho, who dyou think is better (at drumming); Meg or Lars Ulrich?

A lot of people say she's sh't but i think she's fucking cool, love her style.

I got nothing against Meg (or Lars for that matter), just trolling a little to see what reaction the question would've sparked
