Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante, one of the most manic and all over the place albums of all time would get boring it was all you listened to.

i knoooooow
tbh you may dig stuff from Embryonic (esp. Convinced of the Hex / Watching the Planets / Silver Trembling Hands / Worm Mountain)
also listening to Yoshimi in full works more than listening to the songs separately

"tbh just listen to the actual albums instead sampling songs thanks"
Usually when I try a new artist it's because I sampled a song I really loved though lol
I almost listened to Transmissions like last 2015? because Turn It On got stuck in my head

I can list several albums that I listen to a lot that have not gotten boring at all and that's excluding my top 10 all time favorite albums

ars man you just do things waaay differently from me haha
I just generally go in without any prior expectations or previews, more for the sake of being surprised I guess but I couldn't see myself just listening to a song outside the context of the album before hearing the whole work itself

But TVC, I'm talking about albums you listen to pretty much multiple times a week for like a year.
At least that's what Ocean meant, pretty much just listening to 1 album forever

Idk I think Mayhem's Live in Leipzig is my most played album ever (listened to it a several times this week as a matter of fact) and it's still one of the greatest things I've ever heard

I mean the whole reason I got into Ween was because I found out Ocean Man from The SpongeBob movie was made by a real band, so I started to listen to it like constantly for a week so much that I just had to check The Mollusk - at September of Senior year... good times
For Bungle it was Pink Cigarette... etc.
I think for Pixies it was Vamos actually, the Surfer Rosa version...
It's not like that for all artists, but many of them

but if we're talking about albums that don't really get boring w/ repeated listenings:
Ryuichi Sakamoto - 1996 (modern classical; piano w/ string trio; been on repeat for ages)
The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin (vinyl tracklist since the original CD fucked everything up because Warner Bros are cunts)
Iggy Pop - The Idiot (just because China Girl alone)

My most listened to album in full is still PJ Harvey's To Bring You My Love
I not only never get bored of it, but each song excited me as it comes up on the tracklist
Man, I wish that album were more popular with people

I actually have zero clue what my most listened-to album (of all time is)
but if my last.fm is anything to go by it would be....

Todd Rundgren - A Wizard, A True Star
what the fuck

According to Last.fm mine is Chocolate and Cheese, but that's only because I listen to singular tracks from it a lot.
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.7
yeah there's no way Rundgren is my most all-time because even with it being nearly 30 songs or so, I pretty much jam five of them on a day to day basis
that, and last.fm does it track-by-track so it's not accurate in the slightest bit

speaking of that album, that's one you should definitely check (in less than a year pls) ars
