The first three and last three tracks on Ziggy definitely put it higher than Hunky or Aladdin.



This is almost a classic though, Cracked Actior, Time, Lady Grinning Soul and the t/t are so good

I love all those songs but I don't get the hype for cracked actor personally. It's alright but there are much better songs here imo, like drive by or panic in Detroit. Agreed that Ziggy is better tho. I think diamond dogs is also better

Cracked Actor is just such a one off Bowie song, classic live tune for him.

Diamond Dogs I have a few issues with but the Sweet Thing/Candidate suite is one of his best

I have issues with it too, primarily that the last song is split in two and has that annoying af looped voice outro, and the fragmented songs and interludes seem very unnecessary, but that sweet thing trio, we are the dead, and 1984 are some of his best songs imo.

Idk if it's the production per se, but it's definitely solid. Some of his later records have noticeably better production imo (esp station to station)
