I have memories of it when it came out, rave reviews. All seemed a bit Hoxton, Nathan Barley hipster for my liking. I'll give it another go.

'Kaputt' should be the most unlistenable hipster garbage imaginable Zak but it grew on me like a mutha, has real depths to it. I've listened to it more than just about anything in the last 5 years.

The vocals could be an insurmountable obstacle, he's one of those dudes that once you get it you suddenly get all of it and love everything he's done.

Bringing it back to Bowie, Destroyer's early album Streethawk has (gulp, bit worried to make the comparison on this thread) a bit of a Ziggy Stardust vibe about it. Please no one shoot me.

You have an extensive fount of decent tunes dude even though your rating of the heroes in a half shell is blasphemy.

My faith is with you doof, it's on me list.

I really want to love "heroes", I mean it should be his best album, it's got the black and white cover photo, it has the legendary title track - I honestly prefer Lodger lol

How'd you get on with Infected? It's unique you've got to admit that at least

Lol - zak I thought you meant "heroes", heroes in a half shell - one of the first things I did on this site was cruise the worst rated music I could find

I was referencing the ninja turtles dude. I dipped me toe into Infected, needs some time.

Yeah, the Turtles album, the Cowabunga rap nearly bumped that to a 1.5

Infected I might just sit down and do a review when I find a bit of time, the lyrics to that album...'the bankers getting sweaty beneath their white collars', 'everybody wants to be a millionaire, by the laws of this human jungle only the heartless will survive' 'over the mountaintops we go, just like all the other GI Joes' The ambition on that album is crazy

The opener and closer make this album, best tracks

Next best two are Soul Love and Suffragette

Next best two after that are Moonage and Ziggy

Yup this album is a U curved listen, weakest in the middle
