Yeah I kinda feel obligated to listen to this for the Tales of Symphonia reference, especially since recently I've been in the process of playing through it again

So this is actually pretty standard post-rock/screamo...
Good, but I'll take take the classics of the style (or the new Brother Bear) over it.

Not amazingly ground-breaking, but extremely good anyway. I personally find it to be the best hardcore album outside of Defeater and perhaps La Dispute. The GY!BE and Touche Amore comparisons are spot on. It also reminds me of Funeral Diner and 1905 (extremely underrated band tbh, because they sound very different from almost every hardcore band out there and have lyrics reminiscent of SOAD).
Also, for the record, I am appalled by the use of the word Skramz in any context. I think Touche Amore may have put my feelings towards scenesters of any kind (especially skramzsters as they are hard at work trying to ruin some of my favorite genres of music) best in the song "Scene Is To Be Seen" on their self titled EP.
Seriously, even hating scene kids has become a scene thing to do. I wish the fucking parasites would leave so that I can appreciate what I like without being branded a hip/scene/etc-ster.

I personally find it to be the best hardcore album
ever? confused
I am appalled by the use of the word Skramz in any context.
Why? it's not a "scene" term, you know. I don't think there are any "scene" terms and I don't see why you'd associate the word with anything to do with scene people

If you want anything in physical copy from a screamo band that still exists you pretty much just google their name and then bigcartel...
|

Love American needs to put up their physical EP for sale.
