yes. if your looking for something new and unique and game changing in every cd to be your standard
for greatness then you're just gonna become a jaded cunt of a music listener. this isnt really
original but they pull it off damn well and that's all i ask for when listening to something is how
much i enjoyed it, not I have to compare this to every other fucking thing out there on the planet
that sounds remotely like it to see if it flips the script on them. if you're looking for some
detailed analysis run through how relevant something is to the times read one of downer, ginger
tyler or conrad's reviews.

Im probably the last person that should be reviewing because i dont give a single fuck about
anything new and listen to the same songs by the same 20 or so bands over and over again and only
really listen to new CDs by bands I review and then go back to the same old shit i always listen to.

That's pretty much all my sentiments about this album and my music listening pattern in a nutshell. Thank you, Adam.

im the old drummer from this band i dont really understand all the hate is a pretty solid cd i dont think its a 4.5 but yeah its not the shitstorm people are making out of it. the only thing i dont like about this is the way the drums sound like the drumwork is good (better than what i can do at least so let me say that before someone else does) i just dont like the tuning of the drums it sounds to soft imo expecially the snare. but anyway all and all its pretty solid so check it out and support them there going on tour soon so yeah

I think it's just backlash since I gave it a really high rating. that always happens around here. the over all consensus is that it's somewhere around a 3.5-4 for most of the users.

So, the word "solid" is about on the spot.

Old drummer? Brandon?

drummer complaining about hate?
this is a 4.1 here and has toooooooons of attention
that's pretty huge for a new screamo release on sputnik

yeah album is good / enjoyable not much more not much less
i was a tad let down but that's my mistake-- simply went in with expectations too high
still very enjoyable

I was on my friends account earlier but I made one so yeah.
This is brandon about saying the iselia sucks thing these guys are still my friends, I just didn't like the dude we were recording with because he really didn't seem to give a shit about us whether that's just me idk and iselia just wasn't the kind of band I wanted to be in anymore ethics had shifted imo from when had started and I just weren't happy in it anymore. also the drummer on this isn't the drummer they have now its the drummer from my epic (I hear there some kinda big shit solid state band or something idk lol) finally what I meant by hate was that people talking shit about my friends vocals I think he's matured a lot as a vocalist as molefi did as a musician I hope that sums up everything. If you don't like my opinion feel free to insult my playing from adaptations i don't really care.
I would namedrop my band here but I'm not that kinda guy....

A lot of the users that have been bitching about the vocals (take that bighans fella for example) don't really like posthardcore/screamo type vocals in the first place but are just checking it out based off of the community response to it. Personally I like his vox a lot.

personally, I usually prefer great music over great lyrics. i think it's pretty rare when a lyricist can outshine the music he/she is performing over, and if they do then what's the point. it's just awkward a that point

one example is Kanye West. His rap skills are sub-par but his beat selection is top-notch, although he has gotten better lyrically. He was not shy about saving his best beats for himself for the simple fact of knowing that his beats were gonna carry him and they have for the most part

this band is good, and the vocals don't take anything away from the finished product imo

I can't really explain it, but yeah, Jason's (and Corey's) vocals actually came out pretty brilliant. And you can really hear the harmonious contrast of the screamed vocals and the post-rock instrumentation a lot better than on Adaptations with the high production quality.

And @ Brandon; I can't really see Molefi's progression in comparison to Adaptations. Do you mean in general musicianship, instrumental mastering or composition skills?

Idk if I'm supposed to tell this or not but molefi writes everything in iselia his rhythm guitar the synth the bass on the newer songs coreys parts he even told the the drummer what he wanted the beats to be molefi is iselia on the new songs he tracked it all himself...I'm not bashing anyone I just believe in giving credit where its due

In that case, Brandon, Molefi's progression is absolutely ASTOUNDING.

He doesn't do lyrics too, does he?
