"It's just shitty elitism on his end. "I cared about him and his music BEFORE he died, you aren't allowed to listen to it now and then feel bad about him!"
I myself had queued a few of his albums to listen to just a few days before he died, just because I heard Last Christmas on the radio. But I didnt get to any of them before he died and now I consider Listen Without Prejudice a classic album, but not just because George Michael died. But I guess I'm not allowed to like that album or feel sad that he's dead and that I never got the chance to really get to know about him just because I was too late. Thats how it works when you have an elitist mentality. The only way you could make it worse would to pull the "name three of their albums" card. "
I actually didn't care about his music too much, I just hate when people come out of the woodwork and act like they gave a shit about someone (whether it's a celebrity, or just a regular person) when they die. It's similar to when someone wins the lottery, all the sudden you have 5 times as many friends.
If you want to listen to his music I'm certainly not saying you shouldn't. I'm not trying to be elitist I'm trying to express my dislike for fake people.

Hard day and monkey go fucking hard!

Relax snatch, and let the GM awareness spread. The man is a highly underrated singer.

Sexy Sax Man Sergio Flores wouldn't stand for this

Also stfu bandersnatch. People can mourn the loss of someone who gave them joy (maybe not the right word) posthumously.

This is one of my most favourite album covers with a human on it

Clearly didn't read what I actually wrote, but w/e. Can't go against the grain these days without people getting overly upset.

who cares about when anyone gets into anything? nothing anyone does is authentic and ur whole mindset in that regard was likely inherited by someone you look up to, thus making u as ~fake~ as those u consider fake

^um no, you're reaching. it's very likely he came to this conclusion by the observation of others. regardless, it doesn't matter how he got to this conclusion at all.

u right, what matters is that there are a bunch of faaaakes that like george michael now because he died

i mean it's not wrong though
there's paying respect and then there's disingenuous praise
not claiming this to be either, but both of these things do exist
