Yep, probably their best instrumental. Even better than Dance of Eternity

Eve is easily their best instrumental imo. As a matter of fact, it's one of their very best songs overall. I think the only thing that can make present day Dream Theater better is the addition of Kevin Moore.

This would be the case for every DT album after his departure. The only exception is A Change of Seasons.

Can't necessarily agree there as Rudess did a fine job with Scenes and 6 Degrees. Sherinian did a great job as well on Falling Into Infinity....

The day has come. 5'ing this shit, its perfect.

It just beat out Awake and Images.

Need Dream Theater to run another train of thought on their listeners.

Damn, based. This is so good, in a cringey, edgy way lol

I love it too, but I can't 5 it, because the opener is a bit weak imo

I used to think it was hilariously edgy (especially LaBrie's Hetfield impression) but it's just too well done. It has passed flawless, it's meta.

"because the opener is a bit weak imo"

Used to think that too tbh, for years, but it's so heavy, cold and calculated that it negates it well. It's like a modern Pull Me Under. Also love Petrucci sticking to his guns on the song's riff and giving the middle finger to Queensryche in the process.

Also Stream of Consciousness is their best instrumental and Vacant is the perfect cool down track before it

7777th comment. Nice, especially because it's about two awesome tracks

I like early Dream Theater. But I have no adjectives in my vocabulary to correctly express my disdain for this album.

One song to bring a tear to your eye, and then the next one to completely break you in.

@pika

If only you could play Stream of Consciousness on the guitar to help us chart and maintain the proper climate of the earth.
