album is quite boring overall, and most traits I liked in the past have all but worn out

Listening to this is nostalgia trip for me but only Ohio and Niki FM a nearly tolerable for me. It is
screamo of some sort, part of the current screamo or emo trend in music I would say, not the second
wave revivalists but the bands like Escape the Fate and Black Veil Brides. But then I guess you could
argue its just pop rock with a severely weak edge too. I guess we have TOCS Underoath and this band to
blame for that.
