Here's why the album sucks:
Shaun Morgan was in the midst of recording the album but was hooked up on meth and oxy cotton, so he grabbed the microphone and threw it at Brendan O' Brien, then proceeded to beat Dale Stewart with a bass guitar. The whole band then played 'Fight Music' by D12 while they began to screw around battling eachother while O' Brien recorded the wreckage. The FBI, CIA, Navy, and Air Force got involved and all lost due to the valiums, sleeping pills, Blue Curaco alcohol, oxy cotton, and toxins.
So that's why the album sounds like it was beaten into submission with a wifflebat.

Lol, 'Country Song' is the only song I seem to enjoy, everything else is so dull and boring.
Thanks Maniac!

The review is great and the album is terrible. So everything you said before is retarded.

If an album is simply not good, it won't get a positive review - is it really that hard to understand? Do you really have to avoid 1-2 bashing phrases? It makes the review more spicy - so 1-2(don't exigerate though!) phrases of that kind are always nice to read.
Overall, the review got the point. Seether has never been too good, at least in my opinion, but this album is simply worse than all of their previous efforts.

While I can appreciate everyones' opinions on the quality of the music that Seether creates, I have to say, some of you seem overly harsh. I will admit, even as a big fan of Seether, that HOTSBLTF isn't as great as their previous material. But even so, I don't think it's so deathly horrible like many of you are saying. Again, opinions, so they'll differ, but the harshness I'm seeing here seems unfounded.
I personally find the music from each CD to be quite telling, either in regards to my own life or Shauns'. Even if I don't connect, or don't find it that great, I know that it all comes from a personal experience for him, and I have great respect that he's willing to share his emotions with the world in such a creative way.
The one thing I will agree with you all on, though, is that, lyrically speaking, HOTSBLTF is rather poor. There's the odd song that clicks, but for the most part, it's not all that exciting. (Sorta like Three Days Grace... as much as I like the music, I simply HATE most of the lyrics; originality is not something they're accustomed to)

So is this that bad? Seether used to be alright.

IM FEELING ALIVE TONIGHT!!!!

I never liked Seether and am pretty surprised to find that people here like some of Seether's older stuff.
|
| |
I think it's just nostalgia mainly, though their old stuff isn't that bad. They were sort of a guilty pleasure for me at one point, but really just a few songs here and there.

I have to say any seether song I like is a guilty pleasure. Although I would never buy/download anything by them.

Always found Remedy and Fake It quite entertaining songs.
