Nah, they're more of a Use Your Illusion I and II.

I think they're pretty different. Hypnotize is more thrah about oriented, and Mezmerize is consistently tame.

Soldier Side is a powerful ballad

Face it Grateful Dead, SOAD aren't going to write really long nine minute songs like "November Rain".

Daron's ego is the size of an armenian elephant. Does anyone else hate that fake look on his face when he sings in Question and Hypnotize?
Serj is better. His songs are consistently listenable. (Soldier Side, Holy Mountains, Vicinity of Obscenity)

Darons voice hurts. Serj's sweet tenor is a terror.

I find it interesting that this, of all the great and popular albums out there, has received the most votes. I mean its a stellar review, without a doubt, but is the album really all that popular?

Daron said in an interview taht he was kinda getting PO'd when no one was creditig him for writing the pre-Mezmerize music...So he got more into it, ultimately going too much out there. Its pretty safe to assume EVERYONE (95% anyways) hates Daron.

daron is a kool guy *waits for someone to break eerie silence*

Audioslave isnt political...

"They released it as two seperate albums because they feel people don't have the attention span to listen to a 70+ minute album in one sitting"
i remember they said that the reason they were releasing a double album was because they had too many tracks...
and it doesent matter if you think people cant sit through a long album, thats why there are b-sides in which there are many songs on the 2 albums that are b-side worthy

On their albums they aren't, but trust me they are at things such as concerts and such.

"honestly if they had put all what 25 tracks onto a double album i probly would not have gotten to appreciate some of the songs i really like, STEALING SOCIETY, SAD STATUE, REVENGA, LONELY DAY, all these songs i probly would have over looked at first."
you wouldnt appreciate songs because there are alot of tracks???
i appreciate NIN the fragile... and thats about 2 hours worth of music

I'm not going to get over teh cash-grab tactics, don't lie to yourself that's exactly what this is. It's the exact same as Nelly releasing Sweat and Suit at the same time and forcing his fans to buy both. It was lame and shouldn't have been done.
Ignoring all that though I like this album. I'm not that into SOAD these days but I think this is a lot better than Mezmerize and it's a very cool listen.

I've heard that the next single on Hypnotize will be "Lonely Day". Not one of the best tracks on Hypnotize, yet it definitely seems single worthy.

I think the next single should be "Soldier Side".
