of course it was the draw: "hey come listen to this 16 yr old rap about roofieing a chick then raping her, then cutting up bodies mixing it up with feces then eating it"
but the reason they're actually getting good reviews is probably because they have 2 very talented rappers and 2 very talented producers, and have put out some extraordinarily adroit and impressive rap music, especially considering their ages

also i get the feeling that he isn't just being shocking for shock's sake. i think it evolved from a sort of series of one-upmanship among them, like who could rap about the nastiest shit they could think of etc. also tyler's said that it's just the sort of thing that he's been interested in. mellowhype doesn't feature shit like that. neither does any of mike g's stuff, hodgy's solo stuff or domo's.
