Well, there is a multitude of answers to this question, of course depending on your opinion. After all, art is subjective

pointless to put that in a review. its your review, not a review on behalf of everybody.

i geddit now. 4-4.5. second listen with expectations already dashed i was able to listen to it as it is: tyler's massive ego and psychosis sprawled out over 74 minutes with . and yeah, tyler's fucking crazy.

I don't think there's anything to "get". The lyrics are atrocious and the album is overly aggressive to the point where it just sounds juvenile. I don't care how self-aware it is or whatever else people will undoubtedly use to combat my statements, it's too long and has way too much filler. It's kind of akin to Em's earlier stuff in terms of violence, except that it's conidersbly dumbed down.

I do enjoy a handful of songs from this, however.

Hipsters high jack everything, including this. I thought they just stuck to Indie stuff like Sufjan Stevens. Obviously, hipsters are evolving...

Ah, either way, rap has never been my thing. So, I probably won't give this a thorough listen, even if I think some of the tracks on here are sweet.

"Hipster" has become as offensive as racial slurs, it's hilarious.

As far as concept goes, this is an awesome album. The whole narrative is pretty cool, and consistently fucked up throughout. However, it's not hard to be sympathetic to the character Tyler voices.

Some of the songs seem drawn out because the lyrics may not be so great but often the music carries those songs. For example Radicals has some stupid ass lyrics, but the music definitely carries that song especially toward the end.

I 100% agree with what you said on "Radicals," I simply cannot look past the lyrics at points.
