Some of your comments are ill-informed and others are just stupid

Looks like everything's in order here...

First off your summary: this isn't just dubstep so that makes it invalid

Along with talking to women and learning how to properly wipe, the concept of dubstep has always eluded me. What do you mean I can’t just tell them I love them out of the clear blue sky? What do you mean I can’t use six squares at once? What do you mean it’s nothing like techno?

I don't even know what you're trying to say here, and why Techno got bought up

Skrillex, had taken up the art of electronica/dubstep

So he's taken the up of making electronic music AND dubstep? These aren't different things

For as secluded as this genre is,

It isn't. And what are we talking about now, dubstep or that "electronica" genre....

“All I Ask Of You” is a more straightforward electronica song,

You keep saying this word and it means absolutely nothing. What it equates to is there's an electronic song...on an electronic ep. That's just lazy writing, if you can't describe it don't write about it

First off your summary...

Well, I'm not going to get into a whole production with you here, but I was trying to convey in my intro that I'm pretty new to this genre. So it's likely that my labeling of genres and sound-types isn't going to be as informed or accurate as yours.

Soooooo sorry? I was just listening to it and I wanted to write about it. At the end of the day, genre/sub-genre labeling is a meaningless debate that I don't really care about. If that's the only problem you had with it, then I'm fine with that.

And just for next time: if you're going to be a contributing reviewer around here, try offering constructive criticism. Just running through some sentences and saying "this is wrong" doesn't really help my knowledge of the genre.

THANKS!

If you're ignorant about a subject, do a little research. Don't cry when someone points it out.

It's not my job to help you with your knowledge of a genre, that's your job

And despite being the same age as me feel free to act like a child when receiving criticism by shoutboxing me and asking "if i'm having a bad day"

If you're going to be a contributing reviewer around here you should probably write some reviews, Dev. Maybe ones that give an idea what electronica genres are about? Just an innocent suggestion.

For as secluded as this genre is, you’d be hard pressed for any logical explanation as to why Skrillex is so damn popular nowadays. But with artists like Deadmau5 hitting the mainstream and Britney Spears incorporating elements into her radio hits, it’s easy to see that this genre is being propelled into the consciousness of the mainstream. And while I assumed Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites would be playing it safe to remain accessible to the public, I find that it’s anything but.

lolololol

Did anyone else feel slightly uncomfortable by the grouping of an inability to speak to women, wipe his arse and understand dubstep? I mean, I'm all for toilet humour, but just urgh.

The first track, “Rock N' Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain)”, starts out innocently enough with an electronic greeting

what does this mean

And while some of the ideas aren’t strong enough, it turns out to be intriguing overall.

As a guy who creeps out women and uses too much toilet paper, I can’t really say

despite the review having some questionable parts, i do 100% agree with his point about this EP is mostly for newcomers to the genre.

maybe it's just where i'm from, but right now there are so many people saying ' have you ever heard of dubstep maaaaaannnn, it's like BRAND NEW MUSIC" *puts on skrillex*

and yet if i put on bassnectar the very same people will complain

not that i mind that people are getting into dubstep, or that i mind skrillex, its just i'm glad somebody else notices

in fact, the very ignorance that you all are pointing out is what it seems like he was trying to convey with the joke
